Today we had lots of fun taking part in Year's Christmas workshop. Our topic is 'Mighty Materials' so we discussed the materials we used to make Chirstmas cards and decorations. We used lots of materials such as wool, ribbon, felt and cardboard. The workshop was very popular and we think our parents and family members enjoyed it! Thank you for coming.

Today we learnt that King James I stopped Guy Fawkes from blowing up the Houses Of Parliament in the 15th century. We now understand why bonfire night is celebrated. We created our own pictures and wrote sentences with conjunctions in our Topic books.
In maths this week, we have been recapping our number bonds to ten and then using these facts to help us work out our complements to one hundred. These are multiples of ten that go together to make one hundred, such as 80 + 20 = 100.
