For Your Information
The summer holidays will finally be here at 215pm on Tuesday 23rd July and hopefully the sun will make an extended appearance too!

There are lots of things available to families throughout the summer and we have displayed this information on the noticeboards in the alleyway between the main gates to both sites. We have listed activities to do, cheap or free places for children to eat and information about courses happening for families supporting children with additional needs. Don't forget to take a photo when you are collecting your child at the end of the day!

We are aware that the holidays are not always easy as normal routine and everyday life is suddenly changed (and that's for children too, not just us adults!). If you are finding it challenging, then please visit our website page which lists the support agencies available: Signposts to support home adults

We hope you all have an enjoyable break and can't wait to see you back on Wednesday 4th September for another exciting year ahead!

Starting Nursery

We are very proud of our Nursery setting and are sure your child will make a fantastic start to their education here!

We would love to show you around - please contact the school office on 01438 351053 for more information and make to an appointment.

We have one intake in September.

Please note that we run separate morning and afternoon sessions on a full time basis (i.e. attending for half the day, all week). Your child will be allocated to either morning or afternoon if your application is successful - please contact us if you have a preference and we will try to accommodate this. We do not currently offer part time places.

We also offer full day places to parents in receipt of the government's new 30 hours funding.  At Fairlands we also include the lunch hour free of charge, meaning that you can get up to 35 hours of free childcare in our setting!  For more information and to find out if you are eligible visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk

If you find that you are not eligible, but still require a 30 hour nursery place, we offer the option for you to pay for the extra 15 hours per week.  This is presently a cost of £5.00 per hour (£75 per week) and must be paid two weeks in advance (£150 in advance).

Nursery admissions are managed by the school.  Applications may be sent in using our application form (or paper copies are available from the school office).  We are now also accepting applications for September 2023.

Please click on the correct application form below, depending on your child's dob:

For children born between 01/09/19 & 31/08/20 - 2023/24 Application Form

For children born between 01/09/20 & 31/08/21 - 2024/25 Application Form

Once completed, this can either be emailed to nurseryadmissions@fairlands.herts.sch.uk, posted to us or dropped off at one of our school offices.  Please ensure you complete ALL sections of the application form before submitting it, as incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Places are in high demand for our Nursery setting.  Offers are considered on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

Once you have submitted your application, either by email or manually, a response will be sent from the nurseryadmissions@fairlands.herts.sch.uk email address.  If you have not heard from us within a week of submitting your application, please check your junk mail.
