Amazing Egyptians!

By Holly Class, in Year 3 - Friday, 14 October 2022

Wow year 3!

We are super impressed by all the fantastic home learning projects that have been brought into school this half term. You really know lots about the Egyptians and so many of you have got creative to demonstrate your knowledge.

Here are some examples from Holly Class. We can't wait to see what you do for our next project!

P.S Don't forget that Monday is our Ancient Egyptians WOW day and you are welcome to dress up if you like. If you'd prefer not to please come in school uniform.

Egyptian Home Learning

By Kim Ferguson, in Year 3 - Monday, 10 October 2022

In year 3, the quality of the Egyptian homework so far this half term has been amazing. Children have created models of pyramids, Canopic jars, jewellery, mummies inside a sarcophagus and photos of artefacts from museums they have visited. Well done to all of the children who have completed their projects. Don't forget you still have a few days left to bring your finished work into school.

Egyptian WOW day

By Kim Ferguson, in Year 3 - Tuesday, 4 October 2022

Our Egyptian wow day will be on Monday 17th October.
The children will be taking part in a range of art and design technology activities to celebrate the end of our incredible topic.
Children are invited to come into school dressed in Egyptian costume. This could include a Pharoah (King), a goddess, a mummy (think bandages). Please do not feel you need to spend a huge amount of money. A great DIY costume could include an oversized t shirt, a belt around to turn it into a dress and a paper plate made into a necklace. We look forward to seeing your costumes and celebrating the end of our topic.
