Bank Holiday Monday - 6th May 2024. School is closed.
Wow year 3!
We are super impressed by all the fantastic home learning projects that have been brought into school this half term. You really know lots about the Egyptians and so many of you have got creative to demonstrate your knowledge.
Here are some examples from Holly Class. We can't wait to see what you do for our next project!
P.S Don't forget that Monday is our Ancient Egyptians WOW day and you are welcome to dress up if you like. If you'd prefer not to please come in school uniform.
Here are this week's spellings to be tested on the last day of half term (Friday 21st)

In year 3, the quality of the Egyptian homework so far this half term has been amazing. Children have created models of pyramids, Canopic jars, jewellery, mummies inside a sarcophagus and photos of artefacts from museums they have visited. Well done to all of the children who have completed their projects. Don't forget you still have a few days left to bring your finished work into school.
The children are doing a great job at learning their spellings- keep up the good work!
Find below the words that will be tested on Friday 14th October.

Well done Hornbeam class! You are on a roll!!
Today, targeted children in year 3 have started the Little Wandle letters and sounds reading catch up program. Your child has words to learn based on the catch up pathway they are following. The children also have a small purple spelling book to support their learning. Along with their spellings, each child has a log on to access online e books. The allocation of these books will follow shortly when the group starts their reading practice. If you have any questions in relation to the reading catch up program please speak directly to your child's class teacher.
Reminder - Remember to send your Egyptian homework into school as soon as you can so that we can share your fantastic work on our class displays. So far, we have had some fantastic examples of jewellery, masks, models and written explanations. Remember, you can complete your task in any way and you can be as creative as you like.
