Data packages in computing

In computing, Year 6 have been looking at communication and how messages are sent across the internet. We have learnt about IP addresses and how they are very specific to different destinations, as well as learning how data packets are broken down to make large sections of data manageable for routers. The children worked as routers themselves, collecting data packets and created images. Some messages took a bit longer than others, but we got there in the end.

Coffee session tomorrow!

Don't forget that we have our first coffee session of the year tomorrow - 9am on the lower site. Come along for an informal chat with Mrs Jeffries and our school family worker, Mrs McCullagh. Everyone is welcome to join us and talk about how the new shool year has started. We'd also love to hear from you if your child is finding it a struggle to get back into school life and we can look at how we can support.
