Good morning Nursery, 

As school is closed today due to the snowfall here are a few ideas for activities you can do at home... or in the snow.

- 2d Shape Pictures. Your suggested actiivity for home last week was to find 2d shapes in the environment, can you now use these shapes to create and draw your own pictures. For example, a house using a large square, rectangles for windows, a triangle for a roof etc. 

- Syllable Clapping. In phonics we have been learning about syllables, the number of beats in a word. Can you find objects at home and then clap the syllables. for example, pen-cil (2 syllables) snow-man (2 syllables) di-no-saur (3 syllables) 

- Winter Scavenger Hunt. Whilst out in the snow see how many wintery items you can find from the list below.
