We had great fun this morning testing magnets. We investigated different types of magnets and tested which ones attract and repel. We then thought about why this might be.
I wonder how magnetic items you can find at home?
Mrs Johnson was blown away by the time and effort that has been spent on the children's Egyptian costumes! We are perfectly dressed for a day full of exciting Egyptian themed activities.
In our PE lessons, Stevenage Football Association are teaching us some valuable skills to help us work well with each other during our essential skills sessions. Every week certificates are awarded to children who can be connected, fair, inspiring and ambitious. This week, these children demonstrated their ability to achieve one of the certificates awarded by Coach Luke.

Every week we will blog with the week’s spellings and keep you updated with an aspect of what we’ve all been up to in class so please check this blog weekly so that you can be fully informed with what’s going on in year 3.
We are looking forward to an exciting year with your children which will begin with learning about when and how The Ancient Egyptians lived.

What a brilliant time we had on our school trip! The rain only made the day more fun and didn't stop us from seeing all of the interesting animals. Our favourite parts were; getting up close to the sleeping lion, the baby monkeys and sliding down the racing slides! Mrs Toll's favourite part was the dinosaur trail because she was so impressed by all of our Jurrasic knowledge.
We saw many animals from lots of different continents and we liked playing 'match the animal to the country'.
Can you guess where a Camel lives?
What an amazing day Hazel class experienced on Friday. Yes, it was very wet but they had an amazing time. From walking in the woods and spotting wolves to being just centimetres away from a pride of lions. They were fully immersed in a day packed full of enriching experiences for their first ever school trip! The children loved the dinosaur park and they felt like Jurrasic Park explorers as the different dinosaur species towered above them. What a great way to end a perfect year for year 3 and Hazel class.
