Give, Help, Share final workshop!

By Willow Class , in Year 6 - Thursday, 9 February 2023

Today, Year 6 had their fifth and final workshop run by the charity Give, Help, Share. They discussed how they could make the most of food at home - reduce food waste with fridge hacks is what we say! Afterwards, the children reinvented their own snack: cheesecake! To start with, they crushed up their weetabix and mixed it with soya milk to make their own biscuit base. Next, they poured on their flavoured yoghurts and finally, they topped it with blueberries! The children cannot wait to chill them overnight and then try it for breakfast tomorrow!
Willow Class have thoroughly enjoyed having Give, Help, Share in and here are some of the things that they have learnt and loved the most:

"I love that we made yummy food and they were lovely ladies."

"I have loved exploring new and tasty snacks that are healthy - they were very delicious!"

"I have learnt that I need to eat a healthy, balanced diet."

"I have learnt how much sugar I should have in a day, how much water I should drink in a day and how to make my own healthy snacks at home."

Thank you Give, Help, Share!
