Mad about metric measurements!

By Willow Class , in Year 6 - Thursday, 22 September 2022

This week, during our Maths lessons, we have been focusing on converting metric measurements. Today, we put that learning to the test as we applied our knowledge to a range of problems! We worked collaboratively in groups making sure that we all understood the learning and gave support to our peers. We are now measurement masterminds!

We are sadly at the end of our fantastic trip! We have developed new friendships, challenged ourselves, faced our fears, laughed continuously and created memories that will last a life time. What a great way to start Year 6!

A splashing great time!

By Year 6 Team , in Year 6 - Thursday, 21 July 2022

After taking part in three incredible performances yesterday, Year 6 let their hair down and celebrated their hard work with a well-earned water fight! They came prepared with water guns and were so excited to run around, soak each other and play like children should!

Give, Help, Share!

By Year 6 Team , in Year 6 - Tuesday, 12 July 2022

Over the course of the last few weeks, Year 6 have been lucky enough to take part in a workshop run by a charity called Give, Help, Share. Their aim is to give children nutritious food, help families in crisis and share health education with children. These workshops have focused on having a better understanding of what foods fuel our bodies. The children have engaged in a range of fun activities during this time; two of their favourites were making their own cereal bars and their own salads!

Dance Festival!

By Willow Class , in Year 6 - Friday, 8 July 2022

On Wednesday, Willow Class spent the day at the Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage for the Dance Festival! They had a busy morning full of learning a finale and dress rehearsals and once 2pm rolled around, it was time for their first performance - the matinee! The children were absolutely fantastic dancers who gave it all they had and continued to smile throughout. The adults with them were blown away by their hard work and it was wonderful to see them enjoying themselves so much. Lots of children then returned for the evening perforrmance where even more parents, carers, family members and friends attended to witness their incredible dancing! Willow Class are now very tired but very happy to have had such an amazing opportunity. We hope that if you came to see, you thoroughly enjoyed!
