Our Jigsaw Puzzle: Celebrating Difference!

Monday, 25 November 2019

The school has adopted a new resource this term called 'Jigsaw' to support us in delivering our relationships and health education curriculum.

The resource is based around six Jigsaw Puzzles, or themes, which link closely to our monthly values.

This half term, the Puzzle is called 'Celebrating Difference', which links brilliantly to our values of 'Tolerance' in November and 'Courage' in December.

We all know the story of Elmer the Elephant... but how can we make sure we positively celebrate difference in our school community?

Children In Need 2019

Friday, 15 November 2019

Breakfast club was in full Pudsey swing this morning with everyone working together to create decorations for the dining hall.

The children were so enthusiastic that Cook was inspired to change the biscuits and cake today into Pudsey themed ones!

It was super to see so many children in a range of bright, spotty or Pudsey themed clothes, thank you for your great efforts!

We raised £1701.36!!

Thursday, 14 November 2019

Thank you to everyone who came along to our Halloween Discos.. you all looked brilliant in your costumes and we raised a fantastic £1701.36 in total!

The children all had a fun time, thanks to the hard work and organisation of our Friends of Fairlands and our spooky DJ Alan Collins from Abacus Events.

If you have any spare, unwanted costumes, please consider donating them to the school office - it is always nice to have a stock to pass on to other children next year if needed.
