In our science lesson today, the children of Hazel class followed instructions to make a model to help them understand and describe how muscles work. First, they had to cut out diagrams of the humerus, radius and ulna, which are the bones found in the arm. Then, they had to connect them using a split pin and connect the muscle using an elastic band. Hazel class found out that when the bicep contracts the triceps relax and when the triceps contract the biceps relax. They also found out that skeletal muscles work in pairs and allow our bodies to move.
